FMV Game ‘The Centennial Case’ From Square Enix Is Rolling Out Now on iOS and Android as a Premium Release With a Launch Discount

The excellent FMV game from Square Enix, The Centennial Case (), has released earlier than expected on iOS and Android in parts of the world. It was scheduled for April 25th, and I assumed that meant it would release worldwide at some point on the 25th, but it has started rolling out now. The Centennial Case debuted on PC, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch last year, and remains a game I recommend to fans of the genre. I featured it as one of the best hidden gems of 2022 on Nintendo Switch as well. The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story has you tackle multiple murders taking place over the span of a century in an FMV game, and its production values are superlative. It is unlike anything I had played before when I originally experienced it. Watch the trailer for The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story’s mobile release below:

If you’d like to play now on mobile, you can buy The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story on the App Store for iOS here and on Google Play for Android here for $17.99 . This is a launch discount available until May 10th after which it will go up to $19.99. While the App Store lists the download size as just 1GB, there are additional chapter downloads ranging from around 1GB to over 5.5GB as confirmed to us by our very own metalcasket. If you want to try it before buying it, check out the demo PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. I own The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story on every platform, and will be reviewing the iOS version soon. Check out our forum thread for it here. Have you played The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story before or will you be trying it on iOS and Android this week?
