Mojang and Microsoft have just released the major Minecraft ($6.99) 1.20 Trails & Tales update on all platforms. The update focuses on self expression and creativity. It brings in a new biome, new mobs, blocks, new ways to shape your own game story, bamboo and cherry wood sets, the ability to build a raft, and a lot more. Alongside the update, the full patch notes have also been revealed including the ability to craft a Brush, the addition of suspicions sand and gravel, hanging signs, a smithing table redesign, new music, and also new achievements. Check out the full 1.20 update patch notes here alongside today’s launch. If you’ve not played Minecraft for a while, now is a great time to jump in. I’m interested to see what else comes to Minecraft this year following today’s update. We likely will have a glimpse of the future at Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox showcase. I’m still hoping we see the spin-offs hit mobile natively as opposed to Microsoft likely wanting everyone to stream it over the cloud. Have you played Minecraft recently on mobile on any other platform and what do you think of the Minecraft Legends as the newest spin-off?
